Windsor Door

Windsor Door was founded in 1964 in Hope, Arkansas, and grew to become one of the largest residential garage door manufacturers in North America. The company built a reputation for heavy-gauge steel sectional doors at competitive price points, making them a popular choice for builders and homeowners throughout the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.

In 2015, Windsor Door was acquired by Clopay Building Products, America's largest residential garage door manufacturer. Following the acquisition, Windsor Door was phased out as a standalone brand, with Clopay's own residential lines continuing to serve the market segments Windsor Door had occupied.

If you have an existing Windsor Door installation, parts sourcing can be challenging as the brand no longer has active dealer support. Clopay's residential steel panel lines are widely considered the functional successor, and many opening dimensions from legacy Windsor Door installations are compatible with standard replacement sections.
