Stanley Garage Doors

Stanley Garage Doors was the residential and light-commercial door division of The Stanley Works, a long-established manufacturer of tools and hardware. Stanley produced sectional steel and wood-composite doors through the 1980s and 1990s, distributed through hardware channels and building supply dealers.

As The Stanley Works shifted strategic focus toward industrial tools, hardware, and security products in the early 2000s, the residential garage door business was divested. The Stanley Door Systems brand for residential applications was discontinued, with door manufacturing operations wound down.

Stanley Access Technologies, a different business unit of the same parent company, continues to operate in the commercial door and access control space, but this is a distinct product line with no continuity with the residential door catalog.
